About Torchlight II

Four classes provide different play styles, with appearance options for male and female characters. Exploration extends across Vilderan’s overworld and several towns, while randomized layouts change paths, monsters and rewards. Weather and a day-night cycle accompany the journey.

After the campaign, New Game Plus lets the same character restart at a greater challenge while retaining skills, gold and equipment.

What makes it worth a look?

  • Less time selling: A pet can travel to town with unwanted loot; pets and fishing both return.
  • Build and share: Steam Workshop support and the GUTS editor provide ways to use, create and share mods.
  • Flexible company: Play alone or connect with others through internet or LAN co-op.

Is this game right for you or your group?

  • For collecting and developing a build. Classes, equipment and a persistent New Game Plus character give progression room beyond the first campaign.
  • For journeys that vary in layout. Changing routes and rewards are spread across dungeon exploration and a wider world with settlements.
