The planned battles give both enemies and party members exploitable weaknesses. Boosts strengthen attacks or enable consecutive strikes, and nine characters with distinct skills can be switched during combat.

The planned cast includes the renameable hero Nick, who balances sword attacks and fire magic. Ferrus combines high vitality and powerful axe attacks with a weakness to magic. Agile Yvaine uses a bow and ice magic and can craft items during battle. Kris favors dark spells and status effects but has little physical strength.
