About The Book of Aaru

Emily Sands disappeared while seeking Osiris's temple in 1926. Now cursed and no longer human, she navigates rearranged trap corridors and arenas, using timing, evasion and counterattacks to survive.

Dual weapons chain attacks into finishers, while time-slowing has its own supporting perks. Glyphs provide character effects amplified by armor. Exploring and destroying the environment can reward permanent progression, beyond merely completing levels.

What makes it worth a look?

  • Handcrafted scenes recur in different arrangements, with recognizable landmarks and trap sequences. Safer paths give fewer rewards than hazardous treasure routes, and hidden dimensions hold further rewards.
  • Pursuing sandstorms destroy whatever they engulf; weapon classes offer distinct attacks and fighting styles.

Is this game right for you or your group?

  • Spend now or grow later. Crafting a temporary power-up during an expedition consumes materials that could instead support permanent progression.
