About Tales of Vaalundr

Seven classes use different weapons, ranged attacks and forms of magic. Fighters combine swords and thrown axes, rogues add sneak attacks, druids wield spears and heal themselves, and necromancers wield the Axe of the Dark Moon and summon spectral hounds. Class-specific stat growth strengthens their different specialties.

Rangers pair a sword with a bow, sorcerers call lightning and summon a shadow sword, and wizards wield a staff and magic missiles. The rogue's strikes have a 25 percent chance of adding 4d6 sneak-attack damage, with throwing knives providing a ranged option.

What makes it worth a look?

  • Fighter growth improves strength and toughness; rangers gain toughness and dexterity; rogues gain dexterity and intelligence. Sorcerer wisdom and influence improve magic capacity and storms, while wizard wisdom and intelligence strengthen spells.
