About Papercraft Tactics

Rotate equipment so green inputs meet yellow outputs, using adjacency bonuses to build chains. Linked items fill an action queue at turn start; limited-use cards can duplicate or remove actions, clear a debuff, reset exhausted cards, inflict effects or force an immediate trigger. Between rounds, draft, shop and rearrange equipment for upcoming opponents.

What makes it worth a look?

  • Heroes differ in passive abilities and statistics; enemies have resistances to attack types and elements such as slashes, projectiles, fire and ice.
  • Some effects activate on a slash hit, receiving fire damage or evading. Scaling items use HP, MP or SP, while mimic items copy linked behavior to extend a chain.
  • Events, elite encounters and bosses interrupt the shopping-and-battle route, with blocks and conversions supporting defensive builds.
  • Hand-drawn cutouts, flat scenery and stage lighting give battles a paper-theater appearance.
