About Embers Adrift

Strategic tab-target battles use separate offensive and defensive targeting across overland zones and nonlinear dungeons. Day and night affect enemies, and quests can offer different choices and outcomes. Crafting combines three gathering roles, six professions and material effects, with Ember magic and augmentation improving gear.

After escaping the southern wars, you help Newhaven resist the Exiles and investigate Ember’s magic north of the Old Wall. Nine classes, including crowd-control roles, develop toward level 50 and endgame progression, while Alchemy is available to every character.

What makes it worth a look?

  • Dynamic dungeon entrances bring their own enemies and rare encounters; underground routes include exits, and players can place ground torches as beacons.
  • GM-run events award bloops for titles, emotes and other city rewards. Fast travel helps players meet for adventures.
  • Layered, asymmetrical equipment supports details such as separate bracers and a single shoulder piece. Appearance can be edited from character selection.
  • Account-wide banks coexist with each character’s personal stash. Seasonal changes and a region-specific, reactive soundtrack accompany the world.

Is this game right for you or your group?

  • Death penalty Death has penalties, but it does not remove experience.
  • Optional subscription Non-subscribers retain the full world, all roles and specializations, and adventuring/gathering inventory. Subscription adds seven active character slots, expanded bank and mail limits, doubled auction limits and an event-merchant discount. It also supplies a portable crafting station and enhanced Ember Ring healing for nearby players, plus follow, chat and cosmetic options.
  • Linux support Linux support is experimental and may have performance issues.
