Enemy statistics can be rerolled and their digits stolen to strengthen the player’s dice. Modifiers interact: changing threes into fives can feed an effect that makes fives explode. Other effects trade self-damage for a stronger next roll.

What makes it worth a look?

  • Character abilities change those manipulations. The Alchemist converts sixes into potions, while the Necromancer revives enemies as allies whose dice deteriorate over time.
  • Chaos Gambit shuffles dice numbers every five turns. Merchant’s Curse can trade ten health for a lucky die, while enemies may copy a useful combination or steal sixes.
